Your First Visit at ProHealth

Here's Exactly What to Expect
Your first appointment is a one-on-one evaluation with a licensed physical therapist. Here's how it breaks down:
Your clinician will sit with you and listen.
What's hurting? When did it start? What have you already tried? What are you trying to get back to?
This is where we learn the story behind the symptom, and most patients tell us they've never been asked this many questions about their body before.

We'll watch how you move.
This may include walking, squatting, reaching, bending, balance testing, and specific joint or soft-tissue assessments. The goal is to identify the patterns causing pain, not just locate the pain itself.

Leave with a clear plan.
Before you leave, you'll have a clear picture of what we found, what we recommend, and roughly how long it will take. You'll understand your diagnosis in plain English. You'll know what to do between now and your next visit. No surprises.

Frequently Asked Questions
Plan for 60 minutes. That includes your evaluation, your movement assessment, and the conversation about your plan of care.
Often, yes. Your clinician may start some initial treatment or give you a home exercise to begin between now and your next visit. That depends on what we find.
Every case is different. Some patients see significant improvement in 4 to 6 visits. Others, especially post-surgical or chronic cases, may need 8 to 12 weeks of care. Your clinician will give you an honest estimate after your evaluation.
You aren't alone. Many of our patients come to us after a frustrating experience elsewhere. The difference here is the clinical attention you get on every visit. We find what other clinics miss because we have the time to look.
